Leaders at home and abroad
CPCS has shaped some of Canada’s largest public infrastructure projects
Alberta passenger rail
When Alberta needed a partner to design a passenger rail system that would transform the province’s mobility, CPCS was commissioned with a consortium to assess the best viable options to introduce new passenger rail services connecting key economic hubs in the province.
Alto high-speed rail
When Canada began thinking of a major rail project for what is known today as Alto, CPCS supported the government to opt for an electrified high-speed rail system that can connect two of Canada’s major economic hubs in Toronto and Montréal.
GO Expansion Business Case
With what's currently the largest and most complex intercity passenger rail project in Ontario, CPCS helped shape the overall business case for Metrolinx to secure project funding approval and advance it to critical stages in the procurement process. The project will transform the GO Rail network into a system that will deliver electrified, two-way, all-day services every 15 minutes over core segments of the network, which is anticipated to serve the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area, one of the fastest growing regions in Canada.
Alberta Economic Corridor Task Force
CPCS supported the Alberta Economic Corridors Task Force in assessing the potential for designing and developing economic corridors to support Alberta’s growth. An economic corridor is an integrated network of multi-modal transport, information and communications technology, energy, water and other infrastructure connecting economic centers.
British Columbia Provincial Goods Movement Strategy
CPCS supported the BC Government on the development of a province-wide Goods Movement Strategy. CPCS through extensive engagement and policy analysis, developed actions and recommendations that strengthen the transportation and logistics sector, support BC exporters, and accelerate BC innovation and climate objectives.
Toronto's Ontario Line Subway Project
When Toronto needed visionary thinking to transform its transit network, CPCS transportation advisors provided insights that helped shape the Ontario Line—a game changer for the city’s transit users.
Our role in major projects abroad
CPCS has helped shape major infrastructure projects in Asia, Europe and Africa.
We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality services globally and continually leverage our insights to provide deep expertise in the infrastructure space.
Guinea's Simandou
CPCS supported the negotiations of this $17B infrastructure and mining megaproject and implemented a national Project Management Office. The infrastructure is slated to be completed and operations expected to begin in late 2025.
Rail Baltica
CPCS crafted a comprehensive blueprint for the sustainable design, construction, and operation for a project that is set to connect the Baltic region with the European rail network via a high-speed passenger and freight railway.
Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor
CPCS identified Asia-Europe’s most sustainable transport connection, which sparked a €10B investment commitment for this Corridor.
Lagos Blue Line Rail
CPCS began working on the Lagos Blue Line Rail project in 2008. This included developing a conceptual design, conducting a feasibility study, and developing a guide and contract design. In 2023, Lagos inaugurated its first 13-km metro rail service.
